Occupying one of the most typical buildings of civic architecture in Tavira, the Palácio da Galeria was rebuilt in the 18th century on the site of a former Phoenician settlement, remains of which can still be seen today. This venue, which serves as the central hub of Tavira Municipal Museum, offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the municipality’s history and heritage, as well as featuring exhibitions of contemporary art.
