The renovated building of the former Feu fish-canning factory, next to the River Arade, houses Portimão Museum, where visitors can discover the origins and evolution of the local community and territory and most significant aspects of the city’s industrial and maritime history. In addition to the permanent exhibition “Portimão, Território e Identidade” (Portimão, Territory and Identity), the museum also organises a varied programme of cultural events in the temporary exhibition rooms and auditorium.
