Located on the upper Rossio, the church of Santo António is all that remains of the Franciscan convent that bore the same name. Entrance is gained through an attractive porch displaying renaissance features.
Once inside, take a look at the lateral nave in white Estremoz marble, added between 1555 and 1565, and the chapel of Eleven Thousand Virgins, capped by a cupola covered in the same marble to create a cooling sense of transparency.
