The exhibition “Monasterium KM234” – which owes its name to the distance between the Monastery of Leça do Balio and Santiago de Compostela and which explains the “History and the stories created over the years through the St. James Ways” – is inaugurated on the day that marks the reopening of the monastery to the public, on May 19, and remains open until December 16.
Siza Vieira and António Pardal are the two great architecture names involved in the recovery project of the monastery and its surroundings, this project intending to “open” facilities that have been inacessible to the population since the 12th century.
