The North American artist Gary Hill – pioneer in the exploration of the artistic potential of new technologies – presents a new work specifically designed for the Boiler Room, one of the most emblematic spaces of Central Tejo: “Linguistic Spill in the Boiler Hall” is shown at the MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology between May 17 and September 17.
For the first time in this typology of the artist’s works, the images free themselves from the physical limits of the monitors and expand throughout the space in multiple sequences of abstract drawings, which arise as ghostly presences, simbolically referring to a mysterious pre-industrial and post-apocalíptic world, this “dialogue” with the museum space thus providing the visitor with a unique sensorial experience.
